MATER HOMES
FOR WOMEN IN PREGNANCY CRISIS OR WHO ARE
ABUSED OR PESONS DYING OF AIDS.

...Show kindness and compassion to each other...
(Zechariah 7:9)

Through it's Mater Homes, The Right To Live Campaign gives practical form to it's commitment to the dignity and right to life of each human being.

PREGNANCY

It gives women with "unwanted" pregnancies support, both moral and material.
This enables them to choose to carry their babies to term rather than abort them.
In almost all cases where they come to us planning to have their babies adopted, they ultimately choose to keep them.

AIDS

Those who are dying of AIDS are often rejected by their families, or find that there is no one to care for them. At the Mater Homes they find dedicated, loving and palliative care so that their last days are spent in comfort, dignity and peace.

CHILDREN

Where parents have died from AIDS and there is no one else to care for the family other than an older sibling, our children's day care centres provide the opportunity for the carers to attend school while the younger ones are looked after.
Similarly, in one-parent families we look after the children which enables the parent to attend work during the day. The children are given nutritious meals, returning home at the end of the day.

HELP LINE

Our 24 hour telephone help line is a lifeline to many who are suffering with various problems.

Joy is the secret gift of compassion
